One of our shortest walks to the ancient city of Machu Picchu is a short version of the famous and traditional and fascinating Inca Trail especially for people who do not have much time available but do not want to miss this magnificent and unique trail. Our adventure begins at km 104 and we walk for most of the day, we will be able to enjoy a varied flora and fauna, passing by waterfalls and archaeological sites, this tour will depend on your physical condition until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have reserved a comfortable and cozy hotel.

The best time to do the Inca Trail is during our dry season between May and September, it is a route of 14 KM. If you ran out of time and weren’t able to do the Inca Trail 4 days 3 nights, the Inca Trail Short Machu Picchu 2 days and 1 night will be your best option.

Pick up from the hotel between 6:00-6:30 a.m. and go to the station where we will board the train that will take us to the km. 10. Here we will start our trek by visiting the first archeological site of CHACHABAMBA a guided visit, then we will continue with the trek in the tour, we will be able to appreciate the landscape as well as the mountain of Machupicchu and the archaeological site of CHOQUESUYSUY some orchids and waterfalls of the place. 3 hours later we will be in the archaeological site of WIÑAYHUAYNA where we will have lunch and take a short break before we continue our walk to the INTIPUNCO, from here we will have a panoramic view of the MACHUPICCHU Sanctuary where we can observe the beautiful sunset passing through the sanctuary of MACHUPICCHU, on this day you will not visit the archaeological site.

Once we have arrived at the citadel, we will descend from it to go to the town of Aguas Calientes, where a restorative dinner awaits us in a restaurant and rest in the hotel.

Very early on this day we will have breakfast at the hotel and then we will go by bus to the HISTORIC SANCTUARY OF MACHUPICCHU, where we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the most important places such as: agricultural sector, religious sector, some springs and the urban part etc. After the guided tour it is up to the tourist whether he stays inside the sanctuary or not until the indicated time of his return train ticket to the city of Cusco.

These train services are only up to OLLANTAYTAMBO where we will pick you up by bus and take you back to the city of Cusco, taking into account that there is only one direct service which is the Expedition train and there is another service that is the Panoramic which is the first class service. You will have to add the difference between these two trains, and all these services are used in high season. Upon arrival in Cusco, a person from Cusco Andes Adventure will wait for you to transfer you to your hotel.

Food: Breakfast.
