Route of the Sun, Cusco Puno

Puno is located approximately 390 km from Cusco. On the way from Cusco to Puno, we will appreciate great landscapes within which we will find very important tourist places. ATTRACTIVOS TURISTICOS DEL CORREDOR SUR CUSCO – PUNO OR PUNO – CUSCO

LA RAYA: Intermediate point of the Puno – Cusco route; It is the highest point of the trip located at 4335 m.s. where we will appreciate auquénidos of the most varied in this their natural habitat. PUKARA: This place is located near the city of Puno. Here the famous “Pukara bulls” are produced, which are traditionally placed on the roofs of houses as a good luck charm and prosperity in the home. The Pukara were a very important culture in the pre-Inca times since they had knowledge of engineering, hydraulics and architecture. In the museum you can see ceramic objects and lithic pieces of great value and one of the most important ancient ceremonial centers of the altiplano of TIAHUANACO origin, characterized by a series of stepped platforms.
Finally, continuing with our trip to the city of Puno, we will finish this route as impressive as the Ruta del Sol arriving at this city at 5:00 pm. Here a transfer from the agency awaits you to direct you to your hotel or lodging.
